Why is the computer running so slow when users are trying to open the games or other programs? How to make the computer faster for playing games and fix the "games take forever to load pc" issue. This post will be divided into two parts. First, troubleshoot the "computer slow to open games" issue and then make your computer run faster in every way. It is indeed very frustrating when you try to open your games or other programs and the computer takes a very long time to load them.

The first thing you can do is to close all programs running in the background. If your computer is still running very slow to launch games or open games, it is a good idea to speed up your computer to solve this problem. We have two ways to speed up your slow computer. However, in order to protect your data, we suggest that you backup the partition before resizing, in case of any unexpected situations such as power outages, computer hardware failures, etc. You can use EaseUS Todo Backup to backup the partition and its trial version is fully functioned for 30 days. On the partition that is going to be operated, there might be some files being occupied by other programs.

To ensure a successful operation, we suggest that you close all the unnecessary software before resizing that partition.

Otherwise, EaseUS Partition Master will detect the partition being locked by the other software and require a reboot to resize the partition under boot mode.

For Home For Business.I'm working on a tower defense game and currently I'm running into a problem with my last 2 levels and setting up an endless wave mode. My issue is that it tries to instantiate all the objects prior to loading and this has caused my game to slow on loading the level one takes 3.

Currently having some issues so a little help would be greatly appreciated. I understand that I would want to set it to instantiate the objects when the wave is called, I'm just having an issue with getting the code layout because I'm still very new with the coding aspect of the game.

Presently using C so if you could follow suite that would be nice. GetComponent ; if subWave. SetFullHP subWave.

A friend of mine wrote the code so I have to muck with it until I get the handle of coding myself so I do apologize if it is a bit messy or I seem like I don't know what I'm doing I really don't yet. Ok, first thank you for everyone that looked at this and thank you ScroodgeM for your assistance with helping me weed out my issue. I went the route of utilizing a for loop to calculate the HP instead of setting the hp initially.

Scene takes a long time to load

Asset Store Spring Sale has begun! Unite Now has started! Come level up your Unity skills and knowledge. Come post your questions! Joined: Jul 28, Posts: Hi everyone! I guess the topic subject says almost everything: on one specific project, Unity takes ages to load around 10 minutes, from the moment I fire up Unity to the moment I can actually work on it. Now, this is a new problem, which has been getting worse over the course of the last few days, and apparently is specific to 1 project.

Also, my computer is average: it's a 2. I'm running Snow Leopard, but I don't suspect any of these are the culprit, since this is a relatively new problem.

How to make a LOADING BAR in Unity

The project weighs in at around MB, and the final build takes MB. Also, we're using the Asset Server. I guess the more assets, the slower Unity will be, but it's currently unbearable, and loading Unity is becoming more and more frustrating.

why does unity take so long to load

If any specific assets are causing the problem, how can I track this down? If it's project-wise, how do I solve this? I appreciate any help Thanks in advance.

DreamoraFeb 1, Joined: May 20, Posts: One way to solve it could be to externalise lots of resources to asset bundles, which are built in a separate project. However that would require a significant re-architecture of your project if you are not currently using them. At first I thought other programs could be taking up too much memory, but even after a cold reboot the problem persists As a matter of fact, things as simple as loading a relatively simple scene are excruciatingly slow.

Right now I tried to compile a build, and couldn't. After a couple of minutes of mad hard disk activity, I get the following error:.General Discussion. Then I take the useless survey and then it comes up with a window with one link for an example project. I made the mistake of clicking on it and now it's been showing this "Hold on" dialog box for at least 5 hours.

The Mac install was just as bad and I had to use an old 4. It runs so slow on the Mac though I try to move something and it takes 7 minutes just to update the view window after trying to drag something in the sample project.

I have other 3d software like Maya installed and no other software on my computer runs so slow like this. If you have a casual interest in using Unity just know to set a lot of time if you have a slow internet connection. Another several hours down the drain but I manage to compile the 4. Here's something weird --I downloaded the zip file for the "Making loading screen utility blog post. When I restart the Unity Editor it now recognizes Nick's LoadingScreen as a project that can be loaded which it didn't before.

I make the mistake of clicking on it and it tries to load MonoDevelop again freezing the Unity Editor. Net to show the C code instead of that stupid MonoDevelop? The user interface is totally non-intuitive. It seems to be poorly setup for mesh building can't find the ProBuilder "asset" anywhere in the free edition.

There is no obvious way to quickly and easily bring in Maya or Blender 3D mesh objects into a Unity Scene. In the Unity editor, on the main menu, choose Help, About Unity. If Visual Studio Tools for Unity is installed and correctly configured, you'll see a message displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the About Unity dialog.

Downloading and installing Unity takes a whole day. Literally - 16 hours to download the the Unity editor package to Windows. I already had VisualStudio.

Net installed, but it re-downloaded and installed another copy. It is also called the "Nightmare" project which in my mind it has been - a total nightmare. It was a huge apk file though --the largest I've ever compiled! I guess know that I understand the workflow exporting out of unity then importing the project files and source code into an eclipse workspaceI look for some simpler games but still 3D. I unzipped Nick's project "LoadingScreen" in the same master projects folder as the new empty project I created "LoadingScreen2".

Unity shut down and restarted and Nick's project was loaded in the Unity Editor, but it's only showing one of the two scenes.

Expected: Unity does not take a very long time when building the project Actual: Unity seemingly freezes and finishes the build only after a few minutes when building the project with particular shaders in the asset folder.

The root couse is the enormous amount of shader variations created by SpeedTree's as for what I see. However, still takes 30 min to build. Same thing my game that only use to take 40 min to build is now taking 5 hours to build and it did'nt do that prior to the update. The problem still active.

Unity This doesn't seem resolved, I'm still getting really long builds in What info can we give to help solve this? We are having the same issue, we have a good few scenes in our build and many shaders and one very high quality environment scene, it would be useful to know what shaders seem to be causing this.

Having the same issue Unity shows up in Task Manager as not responding. I will be patient and see it if ever finishes, but I don't think this is normal behavior. This freezes on various scenes in the build and is not consistently the same scenes. Unlike the example project above, our build has hundreds of scenes in it, and thus a build that took less than 5 minutes on a prior version of Unity, now takes more than 45 minutes.

I am making a 2D Android game in Unity and all of a sudden the splash screen that comes up as the game loads when you first open it is taking a long time to load. The game used to load the splash screen as soon as you clicked the app icon but now it takes a couple seconds to appear from a black screen and then takes a couple seconds after it is done to let the game actually start.

I'm not sure what is causing the game to take so long to load. The game is composed of a large 2D tile map imported from Tiled split into a couple meshes so it does not take too long to rendera menu system that involves 6 different canvases, and some songs that load in, nothing too hard at all. Any idea what could be causing the long load time? Learn more. Asked 2 years, 11 months ago. Active 2 years, 11 months ago. Viewed times. Is it your own Spash Screen, or the one from Unity?
